Paro introduces the kingdom through ancient temples and fortified architecture. Thimphu reveals a capital where Buddhist tradition remains closely woven into contemporary life.
Beyond Dochula, Punakha gives way to the open landscapes of Phobjikha before the road continues into Central Bhutan.
By the time Bumthang appears, the journey has already crossed from Bhutan’s western gateway into one of its deepest cultural heartlands.
