1  Our Travel Services

SD Travels US provides private and customized journeys to Bhutan as shown on our website.

We may arrange accommodations, transportation, guides, sightseeing, activities, permits and flights. Some services are provided by independent hotels, airlines, local operators and other suppliers.

Sample itineraries on our website are provided for inspiration and may be customized according to your requirements.

2  Booking Confirmation

Submitting an inquiry does not confirm a reservation.

Your booking is confirmed only after:

All bookings remain subject to availability until confirmed.

Traveler names must match the names shown on their passports. Please review your confirmation and notify us immediately of any errors.

3  Prices and Payments

Unless otherwise stated, prices on our US website and quotations are shown in US dollars (USD).

A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before departure.

Bookings made close to the departure date may require full payment at confirmation.

Your quotation will clearly explain what is included and excluded. Travelers are responsible for bank charges, currency-conversion fees and any optional services not included in the confirmed package.

4  Changes Requested by Travelers

Requests to change travel dates, accommodations, routes, names or other confirmed services must be submitted in writing.

We will try to accommodate requested changes, but they remain subject to availability and supplier approval.

Any additional fare, rate difference, supplier penalty or administrative cost resulting from the change will be payable by the traveler.

Some flights, hotels, permits and special experiences may be non-changeable or nonrefundable.

5  Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to  info.usa@sdtravels.com.au .

Cancellation charges will depend on:

The cancellation and refund terms provided with your final itinerary will form part of your booking agreement.

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method after applicable supplier charges have been deducted. Processing time may depend on the airline, hotel, payment provider or other supplier involved.

6  Airfare

Airline tickets are subject to the operating airline’s fare rules, baggage limits, cancellation terms and schedule-change policies.

For flights to, from or within the United States, travelers may be entitled to a refund when an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight and the traveler does not accept alternative transportation or a travel credit. Any refund will be handled according to applicable US Department of Transportation requirements and the responsibilities of the merchant of record.

SD Travels is not responsible for airline delays, missed connections, baggage problems or schedule changes outside our control. We will provide reasonable assistance when possible.

7  Itinerary Changes

Travel arrangements may be changed because of weather, road conditions, flight schedules, government restrictions, safety concerns or supplier availability.

When necessary, SD Travels may change the order of activities or replace accommodations, transportation or experiences with reasonable alternatives.

Minor itinerary adjustments or substitutions of a comparable standard do not normally qualify for a refund.

If a significant change occurs before departure, we will inform you and explain the available options.

8  Events Beyond Our Control

SD Travels is not responsible for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:

We will try to arrange suitable alternatives, but travelers may be responsible for additional expenses unless covered by a supplier or travel-insurance policy.

9  Passports, Visas and Health

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have:

Visa or permit assistance provided by SD Travels does not guarantee approval.

Please inform us before booking about medical conditions, allergies, mobility requirements, dietary restrictions or other needs that may affect your journey.

10  Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be mandatory for trekking and adventure packages.

Your policy should provide suitable coverage for:

Travelers are responsible for ensuring their policy covers all destinations, activities and elevations involved.

11  Adventure and High-Altitude Travel

Some itineraries may involve trekking, rafting, mountain roads, remote locations, high altitude or other activities carrying natural risks.

By participating, travelers acknowledge these ordinary risks and agree to follow the reasonable instructions of guides and activity providers.

SD Travels may modify or stop an activity when necessary for traveler safety.

12  Independent Suppliers

Hotels, airlines, transportation companies, guides and activity operators are independent suppliers.

SD Travels selects suppliers with reasonable care but does not control their daily operations. Each supplier may apply its own terms and conditions.

To the extent permitted by law, SD Travels is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or failures of a supplier. Nothing in these terms limits a legal right that cannot be waived.

13  Traveler Conduct

Travelers must respect local laws, religious sites, cultural traditions, communities, wildlife and the instructions of guides.

SD Travels may end a traveler’s participation if their behavior threatens safety, seriously disrupts the journey or violates local law. In such cases, the traveler will be responsible for resulting expenses.

14  Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SD Travels will only be responsible for direct losses caused by our failure to use reasonable care when providing the agreed services.

We are not responsible for indirect losses, independently booked services, events beyond our control or expenses recoverable through insurance.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.

15  Privacy

Personal information may be shared with airlines, hotels, local operators, government authorities, payment providers and other suppliers when necessary to arrange your journey.
